Healing Through Understanding, Insight, and Action
You don’t need surface-level coping — you need clarity.
If you’re here, something in your life isn’t working the way you want it to. Maybe anxiety keeps looping. Maybe relationships feel repetitive. Maybe you’re high-functioning on the outside but internally exhausted. Or maybe you’ve done therapy before and left feeling heard… but not changed.
I work differently.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy to help you understand not just what you’re feeling — but why. Through a person-centered approach, you guide the direction of our work, and I help you make sense of the patterns that surface. I listen for the parts of you that are protecting, striving, avoiding, or carrying old wounds. Together, we identify what’s running the system and gently shift it.
My clients often tell me they feel both deeply understood and meaningfully challenged in our sessions. I am warm and grounded — but I will not collude with the beliefs or behaviors that keep you stuck. I believe real change happens when we get to the root, not just the symptom.
At Divine Stories Counseling, I work with individuals 16 and older who are ready for depth. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, long-standing relational patterns, life transitions, or unresolved pain from the past, we’ll move beyond insight into integration. You’ll leave sessions not just with understanding, but with practical tools to regulate your nervous system, challenge distorted thoughts, and relate to yourself with greater compassion and clarity.
Healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about unburdening what no longer fits — and expanding into who you already are underneath the noise.
If you’re ready for therapy that is thoughtful, engaged, and transformative — not passive — I would be honored to work with you.
